The middle seats come out completely, but the belt is still in the pillar, and the clip is still in the floor, and the seats folded into the floor are sort of 'not there' as the tester isn't supposed to pull them up IIRC?
They are still there, but sort of not at the same time

Not sure about the tester not supposed to lift them up, you get some cars come in where the back seats are folded down, you'd have to lift the seat to test the belt, can't see it being any different for seats that fold into the floor. Regarding the middle one coming out, I don't really know, I only know what I've been told by 2 testers, where if there is a seatbelt without a seat, it's a fail.
When I removed my rear seats the seatbelts followed anyway so I've got nothing to worry about
S'pose it may depend on the tester too, lets just summarise it to, if you take your rear seats out get rid of the seatbelts too, just to be on the safe side
