looks brill, to say its only a 6mega pixel fine mode it shows you can get fab shots.... not needing a 10mega pixal camera.
i bet it prints well at BOOTS on a 7"x5" picture.. look good in a frame on the wall??

Well I printed a 30x20 inch from 6mp and it looks ace.
More MP doesn't mean better quality, just means you can print larger.

if you have photoshop download Camera Raw - is a plug in. So you can open raw photo's just like peggers.
Im getting a Nikon D300 soon - 700 just for the body. but i get uni discount as im a photography student bwahaha

If your using a recent version of PS it already has RAW capability.
Anyway, If you can get D300 bodies for 700 quid - put me down for 2.

is that a nikon 18 - 70 lense or a different make?
recently purchased a d40 myself, still just getting to gribs with it at the mo, and not really had a chance to go out and take any pic's

My shots are with the Nikon 18-70. However the 18-55 that comes with the D40 would produce identical results.

ahh cool
they may producce the same for you, but i doubt i could get any pic's looking that good at the mo, no matter what lense i use
