can u not get sum 1 to swap the engine numbers over? there hardy going to strip the engine to find out the size of it are they!

pull the engine out, and say its away at a friends having all new seals n gaskets etc, and that you were spraying the engine bay while the engine is out!! that way u cant get caught out surely, just have a 1.4 to hand if they ask to see the engine

yes i know my insurance is "IN"vaild but i didnt know someone was going to crash in to me did i :S, good idea dave its just finding someone to acctually do that though ;/

sorry "invalid" only just got out of bed and not fully awake yet. if i crashed in to someone else i would be devistated for my self and them, was only keeping this car for around 5 months then getting rid and buying a 306 1.9 dturbo as i wanted one before i passed my test but im thinking of buying my car back off insurance puttin a 2 litre in it (registering the 2 litre) and insuring that if possible, if not...306dturbo here i come.

Wasn't having a crack, just a question. I personally wouldn't buy a car with a different engine in it unless it had a full engineers report and the change had been registered with the DVLA with matching V5.

haha yes dean found out tonite i do know who you are lol. alot of people buy cars with different engines in them which are registered as there standard engine, im not selling my car im going to buy it back off insurance and fix it up with the money i get from it (if i do)

I'd some little spotty scroat crashed into my car with no insurance I'd be pretty fucked off. And I doubt they thought your car was ''too good'' they probably knew your insurance was iffy and decided to cause some Christmas pain
