Just uploaded a basic short vid of me driving around this track...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPbioNW7DrU
^^^
Basically if you look in the corner of my screen you can see a little green bar and red bar going up and down, which is a visual representation of what my feet are doing on the pedals (Which you can't see).
having to correct the slides / as the car tries to oversteer out of the bends or on bumps.
tho at the end, as you see - with hot tyres and a bump, it loses it big style anyway

ok actually this vid shows it much better than my one haha
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqTR07nSdFg&NR=1
Plus it's a nicer car to show the oversteer correction on, the Single seater I was driving was a lot less forgiving and basically grips and then snaps when it loses traction.
But this vid shows why u need wheel / pedals

I play it but only the demo. Why do people like to wreck ur race?
Also can someone give me an idea of good lap times for the cars on the track on the demo

Because it's the demo and full of little 6 year old kids who can't afford to pay for s2 license.
Just get s2, and then problem solved.

With a mouse and the GTi, I've been managing about 1:32s IIRC.
With the Formula BMW, I've only done about 10 laps, and 1:21:85 best. I'd be interested to know what others are doing....

what track? Blackwood?
er, I can't think of any of my lap times.
but Gti world record is 1:33
and Formula BM is 1:12

Just checked, 1:42 in the GTi
Only 10 seconds per lap off, but with a mouse.

I just did a lap in both cars... not really played on blackwood for a while.
so on standard setup's I did a 1 min 36 in the gti and a low 1 min 15 in the FBM.
with a bit of practice and tweaking setups I'd get that lower.
but as a general idea - i reckon those times would be fairly 'on the pace' if i went online and drove straight away. Just not winning pace, until I practiced a bit more / got a setup for the track and car.
not bad times tho mate considering your new and using a mouse. get a wheel + pedals

oh yeh and as a example tho, on so-shicane-route in FBM ... I was doing 1 min 6 secs . 45!
and jas (who is new and has a wheel and pedals) were struggling to get under 1 min 13 and finally got some 1:11's and 1:10's i think
so considering your only about 6 seconds off my pace (with a wheel) - I reckon you'd be good competition for jas / potential with a wheel and s2

Oh well thats good to know, probably done about 50/60/70 laps of that track now in the FBM and best so far is now a 1:19:50. Kinda loosing interest with the mouse now though, too easy in a way.
If I get a wheel (which I will) then I'll definately pay for S2, no point spending all that on a wheel for one track and 3 cars
Really feel it'll be wrong without a clutch though, like if you're gonna do a realistic sim, don't use a semi-automatic.
Ho-hum, we'll see what finances will allow
