:S I heard Valencia were lining up a €13m bid for him
(greta busines son their part, sell him for not quite £6m and re-purchase for £9m... almost as good as PSG and Anelka )

Unfortunately thats true
Very very few available managers out there who have proved themselves as Rafa has.

No better than Benitez, Mourinho is the only viable candidate imo other than Ferguson and Wenger which will never happen.

Mourinho IMO would be a bad move for liverpool, i dont think his charactor would go down well at anfield to be honest
I was very shocked to read about klingsman and why bring it out in the public now?? Maybe they want rafa to feel uncomfortable and resign?? Who knows what these dumb americans are thinking
Lets hope the Dubai clang hurry up and buy out the yanks

From what I can read into it...
Bayern came out a few days ago and said they beat Liverpool to the signing of Klinsmann, and made a big deal out of it. So before the media really caught hold of this and made a massive deal out of it Hicks came out and confirmed it was true and basically came out with the truth.
Rafa already knew all about this it seems and that was the real reason behind the outbust he gave in the press conference back in Nov/Dec. Hopefulyl now this was Hicks way of wiping the slate clean and getting behind Rafa.
Also, unless DIC really come in with a great offer I doubt they will sell - and I dont think DIC will do.

I cant see them going for Mourinho when the whole reason they dont (supposedly) like Rafa is because he spoke out...its hardly like Mourinho is the quiet type.

I thought i read today the deal for Sissoko was unlikely to happen?
Benitez is on borrowed time imo, wont be the manager next season i don't think.
Suprised they went and discussed him taking over though, Klinsmann possibly knocked them back hence the "insurance policy" comments

I don't get what the big deal with Klinsmann is, he's done nothing at club level whatsoever?

In all seriousness I don't think Liverpool could win the title for 2-3 seasons. Certainly not this season.

No, the Sissoko deal will happen to either Juve or Inter. Plus Valencia and Athletico have expressed their interest now so he is gone.
Im not sure yet if Rafa will go or not. I dont think he will as they've had the perfect opportunity to do so now, plus they are seemingly backing him in this transfer window which isnt the sign of a manager who will be gone in the summer.

Really depends if we get the backing needed. Its obvious to everyone that we need to buy the sort of quality that Torres is, as the difference he has made is massive. But we need atleast another player that standard to really compete, which is what I said before the season even started.
