One thing with mascherano is, he is a very good player, but to say he has been brilliant in a team that has played poor all season is a bit far
He is an instrumental player in making sure you go 6 games without a win
'Played poor all season' is a massive leap to be fair.
We were top in November and unbeaten. Yes the wheels have come off 'all season' Behave.
10 draws, 3 losses, is not good form, and that is all season, i mean come on, liverpool have only won as many games as they have drew
Hmmm I'm not sure you understand what i am saying, and i have no crayons.
Form is temporary right?
In NOVEMBER *wishes he had a speak up smilie* we were top of the league.
Manchester United had already lost and had a couple of draws, and it looked like we would challenge this year.
THEN the wheels came off and Rafa's tinkering/player apathy/boardroom unrest/justnotfuckinggoodenough kicked in and we fell apart. We have drawn 5 and lost 2 of our last 8 games meaning that BEFORE that run, we were:
10 wins
5 draws
1 loss
THATS NOT awful is it?
Ah fuck it who cares.

Form is temporary, class is permanent
I fail to see where the second part comes from, regarding your league form, champs league, is a different story
If only the league finished in November

Some valid comments there and nicely put down about mascherano's value, i was trying to explain to some mancs who were comparing andersons season to mascherano's yesterday. But ignorant to the death

Just demonstrating your ignorance by repeating the comment I replied to in the other thread. I've never dismissed anderson as being quality and is going to be a great talent in the future. But throwing in exactly the same comment isn't exactly clever considering it's been answered in one way or another a few times
Typical manc

I didnt say class is permanent did i? You did.
Our league form NOW is dismal. At the start of the year we were looking good.
I am totally aware that the awards arent handed out in November. And i am sadly aware that we are fucking miles of yet again.
But if you are going to be ridiculously obtuse about the point in hand
'You have been shit all season' - that would be you -ish
'No we havent we have been shit since November' - that would be me-ish
that would intimate to me that you dont really care about that game and are only paying attention when the trophies are handed out? I could be wrong of course, but to claim something incorrect as fact and then to purposefully steer the conversation off point is .......... well you know what it is.
Manchester united are the best team in the league right now.....sadly we are about 9th best, but in the early part of the season (as well you know) we were flying.

Mein Herr, at the start of the season, you were flying? Pre-season maybe
You have beat 3 good teams all season, and two of them you have only managed a draw in the reverse fixture
If you trawlled through here, you will see what i said about liverpool and that they looked good, and also that i wish united had torres

I agree the fixture list was kind to us, but you can only beat what is in front of you, and we did
Derby 6-0
Sunderland 2-0
Villa 2-1
Everton 2-1
We did also draw with Birmingham, Portsmouth and Spurs which was annoying. I think the accepted logic is that we were robbed Versus Chelsea and we did outplay Arsenal of course they only ended in draws. But at the time they seemed like the start of something, not the pinnacle.
We topped the table, and the majority of pundits recon'd we would compete this year.
It hasnt meant to be, but to write off our season as ALL awful is way off the mark.
And PS-Fuck off you cant have Torres

Well in terms of long term class we've got more league trophies than you lot so your good 'run of form' is just that since the premiership has started

Agreed with the fixture list, but it wasn't a free kick for gerrards winner against villa, so the chelsea incident evened out very quickly
Torres to come to united
Gerrard to leave to try and win the league? He has considered leaving before
The above is just a question, i am in no way saying it will happen

I cant see it.
I think its fairly clear that our current manager has lost the players and the fans in general (ironically those who were showing support for him in the recent issues with the board are indeed those that want him out) and i will be amazed if he is still there next season.
The big buzz is that Mourinho has already signed off for next year (although i am unsure how concrete all this is) and as such Gerrard would be a fool to leave.
In:
Reina
Carragher
Agger
Arbeloa
Mascherano?
Gerrard
Alonso
Babel
Torres
Benayoun
Lucas
we have the foundation of a very good team for the future. We are definately lacking in the 'game winners' bracket when you think United have Tevez, Ronaldo, Rooney, Scholes, Giggs who can all win you games.
Chelsea have Fat Frank, Drogba, Anelka (great signing that), SWP, Joe Cole, Ballack.
Arsenal have Van Persie, Adebayor, Eduardo, Rosicky, Fabregas.
We have in all honesty Gerrard and Torres. If those two dont play, we are in the shit (as the last 10 games have shown). So we need a couple of real top tier talents who can weigh in and win us points here and there. i also feel that babel, Lucas and Benayoun are very good players and will get better and better.
So in short (or long winded) no i think Gerrard will stay and a manger brought in who believes in him and wont play him as a holding midfielder behind Momo Cunting Sissoko.

Manchester united dont need sheilding, cos their defence is so fucking good.
Can't wait for Cosmo to see this!
Im a realist.
They make me feel physically ill, but they ARE the team to beat.
When Fergie first came to Old Shitfest, in a very early interview he said his modus operandi was to "Knock Liverpool off that fucking perch of theirs".............. feelings mutual ya dour faced, rudolph-a-like, rednosed, bitter old twat.
