The bloke i hit was fine about going through it. Also saved me losing my 5years no claims. I paid £250 to fix his car which was better than a premium hike imo

I exchanged details with the the bloke i hit, i rang him later on and explained that my insurance was up for renewal in a couple of weeks and i didnt want to lose my no claims. I asked him if he would be happy if i paid for the damage myself and he was fine about it. I made him sign a letter stating I had fully paid for the repairs to his vehicle (u2u me if you want a copy)

if you tell the insurance, you wont lose your claim's, but your insurance premium will still go up on the renawal..
it will be on the insurance as a "non claim loss" - had the same on mine, when i had a car stolen, but never claimed, but phoned them up as i was thinking about claiming

Golden Rule , they're twats. Not sure how they can justify hiking a premium for a claim you never made. Increased risk my arse. You might not have claimed for an accident that wasn't your fault. They're twats and will use any excuse to increase a premium. It's like £££ when they hear of an accident.

Least your ok, and the car survived. In the 106 it would've been a different story!

My mum hit one of those smallish peugeot vans in her kia at about 10mph doing the same thing, except she wrote the van off and did £900 worth of damage to hers in a kia .
But then found out he was using his works van to take his son to school in which he wasn't insured to do and his brake lights didn't work.

Had someone do this to me, we were both in works cars, me in a Suzuki Alto him in a Hyundai Getz, he won, he had a slight scratch on his bumper, as I pulled away the back wheel dragged one side of the bumper up, ended up having to pull a big chunk off the bumper so it wouldn't catch anymore, then carry on with the 2 hour drive home, with the bumper waving at me through the wing mirror, went in work the next day to get another car for the following week but they were all out so I had to use that one again, did a total of about 11 hours driving in it with the bumper rattling when we put it on a ramp we realized he'd bent the floor too Work just whacked a new bumper on it and charged the other lad about £250

My fault, cant really see any damage to mine, the honda accord had a bit of trim loose on the rear bumper and some scratchs, probably pay for it out my pocket unless its very pricey.
Monday mornings
Exactly what happened to me, except I obviously had a bigger right foot doing £5k's of damage
