I should really start project threads for all the vehicles
not sure how much i have posted on here of the 101 since i came back
Its all stripped down now, ready for chassis to sandblasted and then galvanised, have bought a sand blasting setup, its an awesome tool to have, just a bit messy at the moment
Got a mountain of bits for it now including:
-new leaf springs all round
-new shocks all round
-a new gearbox from the MOD (that was £700)
-Zeus bellhousing (again not cheap, in fact i'll stop commenting as everything has cost a feck load)
-Unimog 22" wheels and tyres
-new heated windscreens (group buy)
-new heater vents (group buy)
-it now has power steering conversion too
here is the V8, being removed, 2.8tdi being fitted
cut in half like an annoying wasp
got lots of photos but most of them are like this

bit of welding at the rear is now done, and the whole cab is also off, so it just a rolling chassis now

i think soldiers have painted it about 6 times with dirty brushes and no prep work, but all the bodywork is aluminium so not rotten underneath

How many man hours do you think it's going to need until finished?
Makes BEardy's twin LET look like a weekend job

its not as bad as it seems really, loads of space to work on everything, can work under it without jacking it up and everything is just a nut and bolt.
as it was made for the army they make them easy and quick to service while out in action.
i think the longest bit will be making the interior
