No you wouldn't, you would be a point behind Swansea who have played 2 games less!
I really hope Forest win it, they are a genuinely former big team playing in the wrong league. From the 2 Oldham/Forest fixtures I have watched this year both teams were shit though.

In all fairness Leeds are a big club, probs in the top 5 of the county, which makes the decline even funnier

Depends how you class it really. IMO they are not in the top 5.

I hate to say this but for once I agree with you!
Fan base they are not top 5.
Prestige they are not top 5.
Financially they are not top 5.
Position they are certainly not top 5.
Player/asset value they are not top 5.
So basically they aren't a 'top 5 sized club' but I would love a deluded Leeds fan to attempt to make a claim to the contrary, purely as I need a fucking good laugh!

Fan base - Would argue against that, not many teams will have 100,000 ticket applications for a Play Off Final. Also, they pull 30,000 odd each week at home.
Prestige - They are wordwide know club due to the clubs history, everybody has heard of Leeds Utd
Financially - Agree with you there
Position - Only in that position due to bad money management
Player/asset value - At this time yes, i'd agree, but rewind a few years before the money problems and they had a very valuable squad.
As much has I hate them, they are a big club IMO.

100,000 ticket applications?! Is this something they have had, or is something that is rumoured they would have? As IMO even United wouldnt get 100,000 applications to an FA Cup final for ticket so doubt Leeds will/have.

I agree they are well know, but in the top 5 most well know, I wouldnt of thought so.

They only had those players as spent more than they could afford. That doesnt make them a big club it makes them stupid. Derby could do the same but you wouldnt class them as big.

I agree they are a big club, just dont agree with one of the top 5 biggest clubs.

All fair points.
As for the 100,00, im not sure how acurate that was, just remember reading it in the local paper up here.
Who would you class as Top 5 then?

Red Scum would piss 100,000 ticket applications, especially if at Wembley as it is less distance for the blow up fans to travel.
There are plenty of teams that I personally would class as bigger than Leeds on most if not all levels; Red Scum, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, Everton, West Ham, Manchester City, Nottingham Forest etc.

Would agree with most of above minus Forest. Would also include Spurs, possibly Villa aswell.

Good shouts on Spurs and Villa. They were some of the ones I would include too.
Forest must be in there for the Cloughie era though, back to back European Cups (and Super Cups) is no mean feat.
They are certainly well below their natural level at present, as indeed Leeds are.

Forest where a nothing club though thats why Cloughie did such a great job and it will never be repeated.

I disagree, look at the figures. They pull HUGE crowds, just as Leeds do, just as as Manchester Shitty did when in that league.
They came second in the Premiership one year IIRC?

No, Cloughie aint there now and they pull huge crowds for a crap division.
Oh, I looked it up and they were 3rd (not bad as I aint a google factician like 99% of 'Sport Day' CS. Again, not during Brian Cloughs era.
Yes, there is no doubt that their success was under the red nosed alcy (no, not Fergie) but when you look at all the trophies they won in a short time in the late 70/early 80's then you cannot knock them. To win that much shit after so many games shows their superiority IMO.
