Personally id use aluminium but the cost to make it and the selling price would be alot greater and un-affordable for a lot of people..Im aiming to make this as affordable as possible.

I would go with ally over galvanised steel, you have to be very careful welding anything thats zinc galvanised.

Everything is burnt out on a CNC Plasma Machine and the box is then CNC folded...

My personal preference would be Aluminium - it's cheap, lighter than Stainless, and it's piss easy to polish up on the outside if you wanted it to look shiney .
Contrary to my attitude in my earlier post, the finished product actually looks really good - I just get worried when people jump on the money making bandwagon without fully appreciating the application it's made for (Do a search for Muppetsport's issues when someone powercoated his rocker cover!).

make it from stainless steel because aluminium retains heat easier, steel cools down faster which is good for intake temps

I see why you wanted one of my boxes now, glad you made you own just wish I hadnt told you how to do the throttle body.
I think I may have over estimated the intrested in these as I havent sold that many.
I'm going to have one last try at selling a few by making one out of carbon fibre

I know people dont really care to share their plans on products like this but just need to know how many connections do i actually need on the front/side?...I have a mantzel here which i copied and that only has two at the front and one of those is blocked off...I've noticed that a lot of the copies have 2-4 connections on the front..This is whats confusing me

Thanks for all the help lads, have gone ahead making them out of aluminium, decided to get them punched out on a CNC punch machine opposed to the CNC plasma to just keep it that bit tidier around the edges..The throttle plates are being done on the plasma though due to being 6mm aluminium..Will be then TIG welded. Ive also gone ahead doing Polished plug covers to match....Will get pics up over the next week or so of one fitted.
