Its the 3rd step, the wax, thats not meant to be up to much.
I would go along the lines of what willhouse is saying. AG SPR followed by a couple of layers of Collinite. The Collinite will last for months without needing any topping up.

I personally use P21S wax over Carlack sealant but I'm going to change to Collinite as the P21S isn't very durable although it gives a very nice finish.

id probably just get Collinites or Natty's Paste Wax then.
If you want to stretch you budget as you already have some Super Resin Polish, then you could get some Dodo Juice Light Fantastic, I bought a tub for my old Calibra, its super easy to use, and the finish is amazing.

Can i stil achieve good results with having a metalic silver car, as to look at in normal daylight its very unrewarding after a good cleaning session.
with this dodo juice do you just apply it with a pad after the resin polish? and leave it for a while then wipe off?

Yes thats what you do with the Dodo and any other good wax, rub in with a foam applicator pad (the Dodo Juice comes with a pad if you get it from Elite Car Care) and then remove after its hazed with a microfibre cloth, you will find it very very easy to remove.
And with regard to results, using the products ive mentioned, you probably will not get a better result by hand. Using SRP and a Good Wax as ive mentioned should show up the metal flake and give a very shiny gloss, you struggle to get much depth with any combinations of wax or polish with silver paint unfortunately.

if its anything like P21S it'll last years.

Take it you only need to put a very thin layer on after the car has been super resign polished?

Yeah apply in a very thin layer. Think with Dodo Juice you are meant to leave it for an hour before buffing off. Best to use an applicator pad like the yellow megs ones to get a nice thin coat.

as willhouse has said, you get an applicator pad free with the dodo range. just need to buy myself a couple of microfibre clothes at the same time.
im sure they will come with instructions of how long to leave it on for.

the Dodo will last for ages, i did the calibra 2 times, and the tub only looks like its been rubbed over a bit on the top. I doubt you will run it out for years.
It is next to near impossible to put the Dodo Juice on too thick with an applicator pad so dont worry about that, and it can be wiped off pretty much straight away if you go round the whole car, it will be ready to wipe off where you began after you have put it all on.
If your buying from Elite car care, i recommend that and 2 or 3 of thier own microfibre cloths (they are a orangy yellow colour) think they are about 3-6 pounds each, they are really really good, nice and soft, plenty big enough, and really nice to use.
Also, if you type edition38 in the voucher or discount code thing when ordering, you get a bit of discount.

willhouse your a legend, the yellow microfibre cloths are £1.99
Nice to hear about not bein able to put to much on, when you think it will last that long £32 for a small tub isnt all that much, You dont happen to have any pictures of how the calibra looked after using it or any car come to think of it.
No worries if you havent.

my old Calibra with Light Fantastic- check out the last picture of it for reflections, and remember that whites hardly ever seem to look shiny, but mine did after Autoglym and Dodo.

Step 1 -
Step 2 - so so, a pretty average polish I've found!
Step 3 - (get gold class liquid wax instead)
I use Meguiars Step 1, Meguiars Gold Class Liquid Wax, then DoDo Juice OC

they are used for different colours.
Light Fantastic - White and Light colours including metallics
Orange Crush - Warm Colours including Reds Yellows Orange Etc
Tropical One - Good on greens and blues
Banana Armour - Warm Colours again, but its a hard wax
Purple Haze - Good for dark colours and blacks including metallics
Blue Velvet - for darks again, but its a hard wax.
And there is more than what i have listed
Some are hard waxes, others are soft, all that basically means is that the hard ones are easier to layer for more depth, and some of the hard ones have a bit more durability
Wrighty, if you want to learn about more products and methods, get on the detailling world forum.

there isnt enough money in it to do it by trade, and the trade is now saturated with detaillers and valeters, it would be very hard to make a viable business from it now, i just do it for my self and enjoyment.
