In Northallerton petrol is £1.04p and deisel is £1.09. If you got 17miles north to Darlington cheapest is around £0.99 mark. Last week in newton ayecliffe petrol was £0.99 and if you used the tesco 5p off a litre your talking £0.94 a litre

Its nothing to do with all this crap about global warming and that and cleaner air, all government crap, a barrel of crude costs about 1p less in America and there fuel is so much cheaper, its all the damn tax, if chewing gum was taxed in the same way it would be over a £1 a packet

L.P.G will be as dear as petrol soon
thats slowly creeping up
When it was introduced the government froze tax on it for 2 years, they then put a little duty on it which took it to 30p a litre
as the number of dual fuel and L.P.G converted cars will rise, will the price
I guess you have to trust the government not to put the price up...

Tax has always been the same on Diesel, its down to refining costs & demand thats pushed it up.

It wont come down mostly due to the amount of fuel duty, the Government relies on it too much to run the country imo.
Its the small companies, haluers who will suffer the most a few years/months down the line.
People put up with too much shit in this country, they moan about it but wont to anything about it.
Something I have always wondered if it will get to a point were not many can afford it and the Government/businesses loose money because of this and the Government will be forced to lower duty. (bubble bursting?)

The price of mineral fuels will remain high in this current climate. The way that the price of fuel will be lowered is with new technologys. The price of fuel is high on the continent too so it's 'the government fucking us over'.
