Theres a place in Bootle call 'Off Your Marks' which is where i'm hoping to get mine done, not cheap though, good few hundred for a full correction I am led to believe ! I could do with getting the back end painted on mine first though, rear bumper is beyond a good polish

PMSL steve

This is the difference between a wash and a decent polish

left side polished, right side not, if you can't see the difference the you're cleary due a visit to specsavers.

As said this is not a weekly pursuit, as long as the owner takes care in washing the car to inflict swirls then it shouldn't need doing again, just a wax top up every month or so to keep the shine

if anybody local is seriously interested in having theirs done then u2u me

To be fair he will prolly find the dirt will not stick to the car as much and also will stay cleaner for longer.

After went over mine with a decent quality wax it stayed clean longer and is a doddle to wash now.

Yes but if he was to take a hose pipe and the 2 bucket method to the car as shown in the pic you've provided it would go straight back to how it was once detailed.

Im sure people arent listening, hes not sayin you spend 2 days on your car everyweek, its put the paintwork back to showroom condition and it will take close to a year to get back to the state it was in when he 1st started the detail.

I used to think the same but since reading into detailing i can understand the theory behind it and its definetly worth doin once a year.

people never listen, some people on this site are just plain stupid.

for most folk, cars are the 2nd most expensive purchase of their life, and they treat them like shit. a few hours work and it'll look amazing and last. says alot for a car enthusiasts website.

Yup, you're right. Will be a piece of piss to wash now and will still look that clean with a wax top up every now and then. I got rid of 6 years of caked on dirt and marks in 10 hours, look at it that way

For 6 years of shit i would say is pretty good Remember he traveled 150miles so im guessin he didnt start on the 1st day till midday and it was stil daylight on the 2nd day so im guessing it was no later then mid afternoon.

So basically a ful 10-12 hours which is pretty average, it take me 3 and a half hours to wash, clay and wax mine and thats nothin compared to what hes just done

it's not 2 days, i'm pretty sure he didn't spent a whole 48 hours 'detailing'.

like martin_c said, i can't believ epeople don't understand what has been done here. treat your car to a VERY GOOD IN DEPTH CLEAN once a year with the paint correction if you have swirls and then just wash weekly and it will come back good as new again. that takes about an hour?

of course it will get dirty, but when you wash it next time, you won't need to go through all the hard work again to make it look just as good.

This is all true. I get bored just washing my car with one bucket and a sponge, there's no chance I'll ever polish it

The improvement is massive with the CTR though.

I know he didn't spend 48 hours doing it Ben, and I know it will be shiny when it gets washed next time, it was still spread over 2 days though
