Spot on, loving the bit about foot and mouth.
I'd take this out though: -
i have been really nervous in the run up to now so
I prepared a few lines - and having
snorted them I'm feeling pretty good right now...
But, you know them and how they'll react.

power point might be the way to go if he wants it that long. you'd have to do it dave gorman style to pull it off though.

When I was a best Man I was in the shit, had to do it on the fly.
Girl he was marrying was very liberal top girl really.
But the parents where like sme accicent calthlic monks, he asked to see it 10 mins before going to the church and said you can't say this jodi.
Stood up shitting it and did it completely off the top of my head his mum came up to me after and a few of his older family and thanked me for putting so much effort into it to remember it off by heart.

I think the key to a best mans speech is some funny stuff, some stories about groom, stories about bride and groom...how they met etc, and then some serious stuff.
And try and use some props......I had a few.
I had a brick under the table and as part of my speech I said "Dave told me he wasn't nervous at all about the wedding today, but I didn't believe him, and this was confirmed when I went into the bathroom after him and found this in the toilet" then I produced the brick from under the table.
Went down a storm.

I was at my mates wedding last sat, best man started the speech with:
" I wasn't sure how long this is meant to last but was informed it shouldn't last longer than Ben in the sack..."
he paused for a couple of seconds and walked out
Then came back and went for it lol
