The plastic cover over the front of the dash has to be removed, also the corners of the digital dash need to be cut and rounded. Some modifications to the corsa surround may also be required for a neat fit.

basically you have to remove the plastic glass off the front of the dash, then cut the top left and top right corners off for it to be a snug fit mate. When i fitted mine, i ended up cutting the surround off my old speedo and fibreglassing it onto yhe front of the digi dash fascia, so i can actually use the original glass from the original speedo, i had to cut the bits behind the dash out and also modify the surrounding plastics to make it fit, it looks like a factory fit to be honest

sorry mate i didn't take any pics of behind the dash when i made it, just the ones in that thread. Basically if i remember correctly i just butchered everything out from behind the dash (the thing that the original speedo plug) clipped into, to give more room at the back, and obviously the front of the digi dash was modified so the front was totally smoothed, cause if i remeber right they are originally slanted down (so i cut that away from the front)

you know on your dash, it has the plexiglass on and is slanting at 45 degrees or so down, and the little platic lip that goes arount the bottom and the sides that the plexiglass is on, well that was all cut off so the whole front panel was flat, if you look at the pics and imagine it without the original speedo surround on you will see that it is totally flat mate

yeah thats what i did on mine so i could build my surround for it, or you could fabricate a facia for it aswell. I think thats what most people on here have done on theirs to make it fit better to be honest.

I meant fabricate the facia once it has been cut flat, lol and nothing gets cut off the back of the digi dash if i remember. And the first time i fitted it i think i just used the glass from the origianl speedo somehow stuck to the binnacle on the actual plastic the dash is encased in.

to take it apart is a real pig mate... there are some screws on the back (think they are star shaped) i cut grooves into them with a hacksaw and used a flat head screwdriver to take them out, and inside there are more little screws, the unit is in like two or three circuitboard layers that get taken apart one at a time, but there are 6 screws i think which you can remove to just take the front off once removing the white backing.. there used to be a website with a tutorial on of how to do it..ill have a look and see if i can find it.
