Poll: Should I sell the corsa to buy a vts/old shape crx or tune the x16xe?
Tune the corsa and if so how
Get a vts for similar money as mine is worth (120bhp) and light
Get a crx for around £1500

What reviews have you been reading!? Gearboxes are meant to be a bit weak, but ECU's and Headgaskets? They will go like they would on any other car! The VTS is the best £ for £ you could get from your list.

my mates got a vts, and its quick, wasnt much slower than my stripped out XE, but where as mine was about 7 years older than his, his was having the gearbox issues, but was also having problems with nearly all the bush's on front end going, duno if that was just his or is a comman failure

I wouldn't really agree that they can take more shit than a Saxo, if going by the £ for £ logic you just said Marsden. As it would be cheap to slap an XE in yeah, but don't expect it to last a long time unless you fork out cash getting it rebuilt

I sugest you start using the clutch

My Borthers Saxo is on 40k and gearbox is fine and it gets given so much stick from myself and my brother

My 182 has done 10k in 6 months and every miles of them has been hard, no gear box problems

My bro's had his Saxo since it had 39k on the clock, it's now on 69k and the gearbox is still fine. The only thing that went wrong was the rear radius arm, but that was due to it not being lowered properly.

Just for reference..

I had a vts 13 months did 14k miles, smashed its head in all the way, and nothing ever broke on it, still drove perfectly... If you dont wheel spin it, use the clutch and gear's correctly, dont lower it stupid amounts a vts is by far better than an xe corsa...

oh bought the vts on 53k sold it at 65k, still speak to the guy who bought it and its done another 7 or 8 thousand now and is still fine
