Hoe did you remove the rear seatbelts, I got stuck with them last night mate.

Also whats the best product for lifting sound deadening?

The rear seat belts are removed as follows:

Behind the plastic trim that holds the parcel shelf, there is a bolt holding the seat belt unit, a bolt at the bottom in the corner of the rear bench and if you pull off the triangle rear plastic clip on the rear pillar, this will reveal another bolt. Once these three bolts are undone and you have unbolted the rear plastic trim (that hold the parcel shelf, there should be a removable plastic piece the belt threads through the plastic trim.

Remove this and thread the seat belt through this and voila, removed

oh, and best product for removing sound deadening is a heat gun. I got mine from Argos £20.

2 settings 300 and 600 degrees

300 is more than enough to remove it, it just peels off.

Is this the triangle thing that holds the seatbelt in the top corner? I was afraid to pull at it too much lol

Progress looks really good, cant wait for mine to look like that lol

Cheers mate, yeah the triangle plastic clip over the rear belt on the back pillar. If you push down on the bottom and pull from the top, it should just clip off

Sprayed gloss black, so happy with the results!









Just got the laquer to apply and rear plastics/rear cards to refit then job's good.

Then look for some bucket seats

Looks very good, Im not too sure which colour to do mine now, black or red (red car with gloss black wheels and bumpstrips)

What paint did you use? Very shiny.

Thanks mate

I was going to do mine Arden blue (same colour as car), but went for gloss black to blend in with the black trim inside the car.

Paint is Halfords Gloss black

Put the interior back in now as I wasn't happy with the stripped/interior bits in so:

aye had some free time on my hands and some paint left over so I thought I'd strip out the entire rear of the car, sound proofing up etc, respray it. Originally it was all going to go back in anyway. Thought I'd drive around with it stripped for a week or so, only a marginal difference to acceleration with it out compared to in.

So preferring comfort over stripped as this is my everyday car, I refitted all interior
