well, I beg to differ, ALL settings set to very high, not a single glitch, slow spot or anything. What more can i expect to get from it?

Looks to me like you've got your heat sink on the wrong way on those pictures. Your case fans are exhausting air out of your case and your Zalman head sink looks to me like its blowing air the opposite way back into the case.
If im right, id really get that switched around else you'll have a case of fan wars goin on

twice as much as you, but then i got sound systems, monitors etc too.
Yes it is the expensive CPU, Qx9650 extreme. the next process up was over £1k and i aint spending that.

yep!
The Nvidia cards love the AA, ATI have struggled with it for a while. I hope they have it sorted on the 4xxx range.
Your right mike, i need to swap that around!

i have an 8800gts and even at 1440x900 it don't want to know at max settings, 9800gts isn't a huge step up in terms of technology :/

yeah but even the GTX isnt a massive step up, just higher clock speeds and some 9800 jizum.
whats your cpu running at, cos mines at 3.8 and doesnt "eat" crysis, although it does play very well indeed

ive not overclock it yet.
Im not sure what else is different, but at everything set to very high, there just isnt any glitches, slowness, lag or anything like what i had on my old machine, it just seems to run extremly smooth and fast.
There is a signifcate difference in the GPU/RAM speeds
Also, some other difference between our GPUs (they are both the G92, but different versions), the newer made GPUs are built with 24 ROPs as opposed to 10, the memory bit interface is 256bit as opposed to 384, and a faster transfer rate of up to 70 gbs as opposed to 64.
