Robbo robbo robbo, take those Gooner tinted spectacles off. That goal got world wide praise. It's the way it dipped over the wall. No goalkeeper would've saved it. Keeper is the side where the wall isn't covering, naturally.

It doesn't curl at all! It rises and dips into the top corner! Look at the way he pushes his foot through the ball, its unreal. Never seen anything like it before!

He seems to strike down into the ball, as opposed to through it as you would normally.

Amazing Technique, here's another one, its a nothing game but still a great strike. Shows how it wrong foots the keeper.

Its fairly straight forward. With one of the old balls its doubtful he would be able to get it to work but due to the way the new balls move around a stupid amount its much easier.
He is still hitting the ball in an upwards direction just pushing his foot through it to spin it backwards, bit like a golf shot.

Funny how not 1 player on the face of the planet has attempted such an audacious free kick bar Ronaldo.
The only other player i can think of that doesn't just go for swerve is Juninho at Lyon he generates all kinds of movement, fuck knows how he does that either.

Dare I mention the name... Roberto Carlos :S
(Quite possibly one of the worst examples of a 'top class' footballer Ive ever had the misfortune to lay my eyes on... IMO)

He did try different things aye, i was thinking of him but his free kick taking was for the most part EXTREMELY over rated

IMO the best free kick ive seen ronaldo take. Keeper doesnt have a scooby doo where the balls going.
Shame it was in a competative match tho

Lol, ever since he scored that goal he has hit every free kick in the same way with no success, tosser, however his legs were wider than my head
Juninho is superb for Lyon, generates amazing power.
