Saw my ass when I lost all my pictures years ago It just seems to be at the bottom of a long list tbh. I may sign up this month just purely due to being shamed

TBH none of you have any excuses...
I dont own a Corsa
I have NEVER owned a Corsa
I have never been to a meet
I hide myself away from all but about 3 members who have met me
Yet I have been a Prem since it came about IIRC.

This isn't about excuses, it's about making a web site do the right thing and offer value so that people want to support it. If the reason is that you get a great deal using only the free features then that is fine. Free people contribute sufficiently by their presence if not their money.

TBH I was more pointing out that the site is more than just for people with Corsas, and that even though Ive never owned one, or even been to a meet due to this, that I am willing to support it and have done so for years and years now.
BTW - When did Prem membership come in?

Yeah obviously it works the other way if you want to support it and not use features like the ability to show.
Scheme came in about 2003 I think? Price has never changed either. I'm sure that means it's cheaper now than it was back then

i'm seriously considering it but when i think about it, you get access to one more thread and get a garage, even though you can put pics up in your project thread

The scheme is great, bar the issue I raised in the Lounge.
It's worth paying £12.50 for the ease of use of the garage system, and even though I haven't made use of it yet, the extremely professional organisation of the Club presence at shows.

So what are the two things CS can do to:
1. Retain existing prems?
2. Get new ones?
9 people saying don't have a way to pay is easily sorted. Not sure about the other ones.

I think a good idea would be to allow non-Premium members that own Corsa's on the stand for 1 show. There would need to be some vetting process for the 'quality' of cars (i.e. if it's a complete rusty banger it would be declined) but you get my drift.
I think this way they'd see that £12.50 is a complete bargain, despite how ever many members are premium. It will show that you're not just paying £12.50, but your contributing towards peoples time. i.e. not just Ian's, but Willays etc.
Everything in that respect is done for free, and I think £12.50 isn't much to ask for quick, advert free hosting, hiring of the camper, Corsasport merchandise (balLoons, leaflets, banners, spec sheets etc), BBQ stuff.
So yeah, some kind of 'come and meet us scenario'.

my friend is with pug sport owners or something and they get a little gift pack when they start like, tax disk holder and a wee card i think, they pay around £14. things like that may attract people. free stickers etc

Retain existing premiums: I'll renew anyway, but more garage space, more u2u space, and delete button / search to be sorted. Also video hosting that was talked about.
New ones: Advertise properly for a month or so, see how it goes. Have a topped thread, more leaflets for events. Newer ones, think the current ones say 19,000 memebers and growing?
If you're wanting to make more money, get the shop up and running. I know John does stickers etc. There's alsorts you could do. Keyrings, with Username / Corsasport on one side, and a picture of the owners car on the other, mugs, t shirts, umbrellas, mousematts... there's loads of things that could be done.
