The tolls are a bummer aren't they. I spent over €200 in tolls getting from France to Austria, then had to pay fuel on top - though that was only about €60. We had to pay €50 to go through a tunnel

Absolutely no idea mate! Had to back off on the straights as my fuel range gauge was saying I had 10miles worth of fuel left! The Leon only managed 3 laps when his engine started miss firing. The VR6 Filmed his session so i'll have a look at it sometime and see what times he did.

My car topped out at 139mph on the GPS by the way, speedo was at 145mph. Bit dissapointed as its been 150 on the clocks before on the way to the Nurburgring last year. The leon had managed 162mph GPS in the past and the VR6 about 135mph due to gearing.

The Fuel bill for the Leon (including all Toll's, which was quite a bit of it) was around £900 I believe. He managed an average of 33mpg which isn't bad really. But there was 4 people in that team so by the time you split it up it was quite affordable.

Just received some more pics so i'll post them up later. Gald you enjoyed the read

Neil

162mph is seriously impressive seeing as they had 4 people in the car

Do you know whats been done to the Leon mate???

Good MPG as well.

Looks like a superb trip, much better than the Gumball anyways as it looks a lot more laid back

The Leon has a straight through exhaust, 4 bar fuel pressure reg, Jabba sport Induction kit, Forge Re-Circ Dump valve and a REVO Stage 2 Map. The 162 was down hill. On the flat its more like 155 tops.

But he's now sold it and brought a Weisel Diesel Who'd have one of them hey
