New rubber arrived...

Can already tell it's a lot stickier than my previous Pirelli's. The 70 profile front looks bloody steep.

More tyre shots 'cus I'm bored and the other phone pics were cack:

Gagging for parts to arrive.

Been working on the R6 today.

Removed the callipers ready for a clean and ready to fit the braided lines:

Fairings off as routing the lines are difficult with them on:

Removed the clocks and took it apart to fit two blue LED's as the standard orange light looks cack -- I've seen it done before and it looks so much nicer:

My EBC HH pads arrived:

My braided hoses were being delivered today but I was having a lay in with Anita so completely missed them. Gotta collect 'em on Monday from the Post Office...

Oh and Graham realising that my R6 is way sexier than his B1H:

Phoned the powder coaters and apparantly they'll be done tomorrow as the guy had to go to the hospital today as he got something in his eye.

Anyway, received my HEL lines (thanks sickpup):

Chucked those on:

Cleaned the callipers and inserted the new EBC HH pads:

Un-done all the engine mounts and moved the engine up a bit as my crash bungs were lining up correctly. Attached callipers to lines and bled the brakes:

Took rear wheel off and cleaned around the shock. Also cleaned and freshly lubed the chain:

...and bunged the fairings back on:

Fingers crossed everything will go to plan tomorrow and I'll be able to take it for an MOT.

Just went and got two shots of the clocks... I think the new blue bulbs make it look sooo much better.

I have a Corsa too but (and I'm going to get flamed for this) -- they're BORING compared to an R6 (IMO anyway). I'd have this over a 300bhp LET Corsa if it came down to choosing between 'em!

Although you may be a 'tard on the forums, really can't doubt you on this heavy weight

Brave for giving it mega beans on a flippin lift and paddock stand though esp with no resistance on rear wheel

Popped to the powder coaters and picked up my two bubble-wrapped parcels:

Mmm! Minty fresh paint... Went to binge at Kwikfit and got him to chuck the Michelin's on:

Now the problems started... Bare in mind I bought genuine Yamaha disc bolts because I didn't want to skimp on the brakes. I was tightening up the disc bolts perfectly straight and all of a sudden one snapped. It wasn't even half in before it snapped. I couldn't believe it:

I then flipped it over and started fitting the disc to the other side and the same happened. I was using a torque-wrench that time and I was no-where near the torque level Yamaha advises. Seriously gutted...

Anyway, popped all the bearings back in and went home. The finish of the paint kept me smiling:

I then fitted the rear wheel and adjusted the chain. I didn't bother fitting the front as I need to get the bolts drilled out anyway:

I wanted to see what the front would look like so I just laid it next to the bike. Sooo close to having it back on the road today.

...and the R6 is still off the road. Proper gutted but hey-ho -- it's starting to look very sexy.

For anyone who said black wheels -- you were wrong! The white wheels just look so right.

Big thanks to binge for his help today.

One of my favourite bikes, But if i was looking for one it would have to be one of the early grey ones, as its a bit rarer, and i think looks a bit better

But this is one stunning bike, keep up the work on it, and dont bin it

for the snapped bolts. You must have been f*cking fuming sir.

Bike is SO bloody though.

Chap at work has one in same blue and has cut his can down too. Is it just for sound or does it improve the bike's pep too?

It's more for sound. Unless you get the carbs jetted to suit the can if anything it will probably affect it more in a bad way than a good way!

The finish on the wheels is the bollocks! Be good to get pics of Luke's and mine together

Disc bolts drilled out and then had all the threads tapped. Got it all back together and then went for a spin with Graham.

Also went to Bluewater and grabbed some pics:

Taking her for an MOT tomorrow.

Comments?

That wheelie was just 1st -- just wheelied so Graham could take a pic and then dropped it. I normally lift 'em in 2nd and go through the box.
