Broster is spot on, the bilstein pss9 kits are in a different league from anything else. Havent driven a corsa with them on though. For the cash the Gaz kits are very good, we do a kit that is specifically designed for the c20xe corsa as well. I dislike the Avo coilovers for a road car and wouldnt go near FK. The Koni coilovers are fantastic and around 800 but I am yet to try them on a corsa (think adam b had them on his?)
I have the following kits in stock to clear if you are intersted:
3x Spax RSX coilover kits for 430 each
1x Gaz coilovers with both standard style rear dampers and rear coilovers all for 400!
3x Bilstein B10 kits for 285 each
(sorry, pound symbol isnt working on the keyboard)

Seriously considering selling mine after reading everyone elses opinions. Never knew they were bad for falling apart, and is starting to give me doubts. I just though the ride factor was because of how low i ran the car. Im wanting coilovers that will last, dont want to have to check up on them every week!

Im guessing the B10 is crap?
What are the spax rsx like for durability?

I have always liked spax, never had a single failure from 100's of products I have sold.
a very much fit and forget product. they all come with stainless threads, good quality dampers, progressively wound springs etc... Some people say they are too hard but most I have seen that have complained have not set up the damping properly.

Im considering the spax, can you supply 300lb springs with them for the fronts?
What do they / can they lower buy?

Bilstein B10 is a very good kit but for track use the B12 is better. springs are similar but the inverted damper with the B12 is a much better design. I used the Bilstein tarmac rally kit (B12 dampers with stiffer and springs) for years and was probably the best suspension I have ever experienced on a road going corsa! only switched to coilovers so I could have the adjustable topmounts.

i also dont think spax are that hard, mine are set mid-soft, and fell spot on

can supply them with any spec front springs. they go -50 or -60 on the rears (fixed height) and and up to -65 front.

Ahh i see, was looking to go lower tbh, especially on the front. I like the look of proper low track car and its obviously good for the handling if its lower....

To a point, you can go too low with standard suspension pickup points though.

I find about -45mm is ideal for a corsa. as soon as you go lower the geometry of the driveshafts, steering arms etc... is all wrong.

if they went that low the car would be undriveable..
when i've got my spax set lowest at the front, the top of the tyre is covered by the top of the arch...

Corsas have a uni-swivel hub assembly. the susplension, steering and drivetrain all mount to one individual hub, this also holds the lower arm and tie bars.
this all means that as you adjust the ride height the alignment of all of the other components are affected. lowering the ride height drastically may help the handling in theory but in turn it may change the angle at which the other components are working which will turn into a negative effect.

I had Leda coilovers which are at the top end of the price range and they were fantastic on my corsa b. Lots of people have good views on Gaz.
