The EPL is the name given to it when we (the press association) receive the fixtures from the FA via dataco.
All of our clients get it sent as EPL, as it's the official acronym for the league.

unfortunately kyle, the official acronym for your babel here in match day is EMA.
the gym posts are bollocks, there is only two scenarios
