You have to have some line tho... we cant have the champions of Georgia playing in the CL just because they are the champions... should be (and probly is) based on the coefficient of the country/league as a a whole

Whilst they're part of UEFA, they don't.
Fact of the matter is the competition is what it is because it includes the elite from the top leagues and then the top guys from league's like Scotland, Holland etc...
It would demean the cup if it was champions of pub leagues, which in turn means less people watching, which in turn means no one pays to watch it, which in turn means no sponsorship money or TV rights.

I know you do mate
I know (and understand) the reasons why UEFA do it the way the do, I just think it is unfair that the smaller teams dont get a chance to play in the actually competition. They will never get to improve unless they are given the chance to play against the better teams.

I haven't seen the Liverpool game tonight but  at only managing a last couple of mins extra-time goal against a pub team
I was kind of hoping they'd go out because the banter would be endless, they'll probs go on to win it now

Liverpool were completely lacklustre last night with their performance, no chances created really tbh!  I should have watched the arsenal match, unfortunately I was at work and had to watch the Liverpool match!
I said Arsenal would win 4-0 just before KO when me and my mate at work did our predictions! Damn I should have put money on it cos I'm guessing the odds would have been good!

Simple answer is to drop the tag 'Champions' League. Because it clearly isn't a League of 'Champions'. It's a compettiton full of teams people want to watch.

Champions league is just a name ffs get over it, who would want to watch teams from shitty countries get knocked out at the same stage every year it'd be a farce!

TBF though we have been missing some players and keane is still trying to gel into the team.

Tell me why a team from Belgium shouldn't get to play against the the other teams despite winning the League, yet a team like Liverpool, who didn't, do
