Aye, because there was a plethora of other managers queing up to take charge wasnt there?

The only other name in the equation was Harry fucking Redknapp.

The club was in utter freefall and with the games that we had coming up, Arsenal away twice, and Man United away, there was no way the fans would have stood behind Redknapp or many others should they have came in. Ultimately, we made the most of a bad season by having a good run from February and ended up finishing mid-table when we could have quite easily fell into a relegation battle.

Bad appointment my arse.

Appointing a man who admitted he hadn't watched any form of football for a few years wasn't a bad appointment?

Jeez. Ok then.

The man is a joke. He did fuck all with Man City then vanished. Then comes back being hailed as the saviour. 'King Kev' is back my arse.

Why on Earth would Shearer want to go from being a living Legend in Newcastle to potentially another failed Manager

Not a chance, this has got the poison dwarfs name all over it - it has been on the cards since he as appointed, almost as if the board got Wise on board expecting Keegan to fail and would have someone already there to step into the breach and be the hero, trouble is that Keegan probably done better than they hoped.

Do you think Keegan wanted to sell Milner? I don't, he has been undermined at SJP since not long after he was appointed and he was out in the cold when Wise was brought in and he went on the record saying he knew nothing about it and it wasn't anything to do with him - a comment that was quickly retracted after a 'meeting'

I can only assume the whole Barton affair wasn't his choice yet he was expected to go out there and defend something he didn't agree with, there must of been a straw that broke the camels back - maybe it was the activity in the transfer window - I'm sure he'll come out and say it all in the press soon.

So who next? Nobody will in their right mind will touch it unless the chequebook is waved.....

Not potentially - 100% a failed manager.

And not because he is no good (he may or may not, has no experience) but because the board wont back him and eventually the fans will get on his back.

Agreed with the Shearer not being stupid enough.

Whenever, if it ever does, the club becomes stable at boardroom level THEN he'd chance it. Until then the Newcastle job is a poisoned chalice.

Even if the cheque book is waved at a new manager?, doesn't mean they will get to use it. Looks like keegan didn't get to use it like he was promised.
