ive had one go off on me whilst just driving down the road in a corsa B, properly sticks you to the seat...
easy to change though mate, just go to scrapyard... mine was £20 if i remember right

so dosnt particulary needed to be a bad shunt to happen,mines seems very straight and original dam good repair job if its been smashed lol

mnes gone of as well..
whilst fitting new seats..
is there any down side to this?

yes if you crash you dont have a seatbelt pretensioner
basically your head will probably hit the windscreen or steering wheel lol
and im sure it will fail and mot

mine passed MOT fine. also seat bet still locks up doesn't it.
I'll still be fitting a new one though

my uncle does mot's pretty strict and hes told me the yellow tag out will not fail an mot

they wouldnt have noticed it then...
yes the seatbelt will still fasten but if you crash the pretensioner wont fire

mine went off when i crashed.. and after that i could just pull the seatbelt out one handed or even if i lent forward it would pop out.. so got some new ones
