You need to look at running costs first matey, Just cos the car has depreciated that far, replacement parts from BMW wont have!
Just priced up front discs and pads for the RS6 from Audi.............£1100 supplied!!!! I reckon that BMW will be in the same sort of territory when it comes to parts prices!

that is stupidly cheap, have driven quite a few 740i's and they go pretty well i only got a very short drive of a V12 without a drivers seat (when i was working for my uncles garage)

Bad points?
Expensive to fix when it breaks, and there's a lot to go wrong mechanically and electrically.
Plus people will stop you in the street and ask you for drugs.

Not really my cusin just did shocks all round and discs for what a normal person would of paid retail at a Vaux Dealer. The forums are a great help and a great source of info on how to fix/improve things.
The expeinsive things to fix are the electrics or the dash controls if they break but even then there are loads of BM breakers for the bits any way.
The drugs thing may be an issue though

Not the most desireable car to be stolen, not much of a chav drivers choice... It's not all about the Insurance Group
