And then moves to out of the UK when he earns a bit of money so does not pay tax.

Phil Taylor is an excellent shout Jizinho. Increadible player to watch, and those who dont see darts as a sport are just ignorant. So much skill, and thought is required.
13 World Championships, a mountain of prize money, a host of other trophys....and he's mentored up and coming stars such as Adrian Lewis.
But Hamilton will win

We had a similar tv show in Brazil, where you would elect a top 5 sports people, many candidates but with it being a football crazy nation, it was always guaranteed you'd get 3 footballers in the top 5, so they changed it this year and will be showing in December, whereby they have a panel of former sportsmen and sportswomen (look at me being all equal rights there) and they do like a panel/crowd discussion and sort it that way to make it fair on the race drivers, olympic athletes etc..

Where does it stop though, what about the national tiddlywinks champion why doesn't he get a look in?
Motor sport is pushing it imo never mind a pub game that Andy Fordham was the world champion of whilst consuming 30 beers every single day.

You have to blame the people that make these games into sports, who classifies them as a sport? IMO if darts isn't a sport then neither is archery or volleyball, tennis etc.... all hand/eye coordination related sports, so in a reversal, where do you draw the line with that?
I personally would vote for a sportsperson who matched this criteria......
- How hard have they worked to get their glory?
- How competitive was the opposition in their sport?
- How successful are they in their history of the sport?
- Have they had to adapt their skills in order to compete with different styles in their sport?
I look at them questions and think well, olympic athletes being as good as they are? it only last a few weeks and the preparation before hand isn't as intense as most sports, I immediately think of the last season in F1 when Hamilton fluffed the title chance in Sao Paolo and to go to the same track again in the same position and have them memories of the year before in his mind, how hard would it be to keep your composure all race? also risking every single thing he's done in the previous 17 races to get to where he was in the leadboards, I think Hamilton has to have it.

That's who people think will win, not who they want to.

Marc did not have millions of pounds invested in him engineering him to being their next driver though.

He should, if it wasn't media led he would as well imo.

And every other driver on that grid hasn't had money pumped into them be it corporate or rich families, completely irrelevant point imo. He's still a human being, he still has to make stuff count when he's in the car, has heiki kovalainen been anywhere near as succesful in the same car?
Hamilton by a mile for me, although I do see the others achievements (especially hoy) as impressive - I agree with our brazilian friend that the omlympians would be lucky to take it given that there sports are less popular when the olympics isn't on.
