Heatsoak is simply lost power due to hotter (and less dense) air entering the engine/combustion chamber.

but was you k+n filter heat sheilded from engine bay and did it have a decent cold air feed flat spots are caused by lack of fuel

It had a pipercross air feed £20 jobby and no heat sheild.

The only time i would get flatspots is when i would pull off from the lights,or when i was stuck in traffic etc,it got annoying, but i found sticking the panel filter in and drilling the airbox made the car run smoother and sound louder

I was like 17/18 so into racing off the lights and the flatspots would always fuck me up racing lol

Yep,which in turn makes all his so called de-restrictions useless,in which case, itl be making less power than what it did when it left the factory.

A well servied engine benefits from better efficiency with it been cleaner oil so engine parts are well lubricated, it is common sense that if a car is serviced regularly it will run more efficiently. what is a adjustable throttle position sensor, didnt know an adjustable one existed, what has an exhaust heatshield got to do with it, it is there to stop large amonts of heat away from the engine bay, the little pipe that goes from that to the airbox at a guess is to aid in cold starting (maybe wrong though)

tuned airbox = Loads of filler.

What power is your astra running 20 valver, does your tuned airbox make any difference to a normal deristricted and drilled airbox.
