if it's a specialist they are more likely to know about that sort of thing, if it's just a normal garage they might not.

we are not talking another 20mm or something probably about 5mm or less, still makes a difference.
springs are made from metal, when metal is under load it wants to relax especially springs.
I've been designing metal components for 3 years now, so know all about metals.

I want to lower it more than 40 mm but this is as much as i can lower the car legally in spain...
Here we must pass some kind of MOT hou have called ITV.
ITV says you CANNOT change ANYTHING to the car unless it is homologated and legallized.
In springs, for example, just few brands are homologated, and KW is one, but just some refferences so 60mm arent. Then you need to have a "garage fitting certificate" and go to ITV to legalize it.
If you want to lower your car 60mm (or any refference not homologed) you must actually make an engineer project and legalize it, wich cost lots of money.
And obviously if we talk about stuff like SWAPS... things become more and more expensive and hard to make legal...
And then (if all of this was not enouth) then is the thing that some times, what it is legal in an ITV, it isnt in another (every city have one)... an there is the cops wich some times dont know also wich is legal or not...
For example i put an alfa tipe plate (the little one) in my corsa and a policeman says me that is illegal unless i have ITV legallitzation certificate, so i went to my cities ITV and they says me thats imposible to legallize... :S
Just want to explain to all you how dificult is to personalize your car here!

Cant take off the door stripes coz one side of the car was re-painted by the last owner and they do badly without taking badges and stripes off, so if i take it off now then will need to repaint all the side... hehe
