I could get 400 miles per tank, never been practical too though.

1.2 16v used to get 400 miles to a tank every time.

Giving it death everywhere, 400 miles to 45 litres.

It took me over three hours to do a 15 mile journey this morning so I presume mine will be bad

The Ibiza fuel gauge makes me laugh, you can make the fuel light go on and off

ive never worried about it tbh. Was a little nervous buying the z3 but never really thought about it.

Iirc my 1.4 corsa was amazing on petrol. Went on forever

Jambo do you find the Z3M or the M3 much different on fuel to the astra? i didnt, if anything the M3 is better on fuels than the ZLET

Because of the 6th gear, E46 M3's (no idea about E36) aren't bad on fuel when you're just cruising. According to the on board computer which adjusts all the time, dad would get better MPG at 80mph than 70mph

yeah thats the case with most cars, my astra would drink less at 75 than 50 in 5th.

Top Gear tested the toyota prius against the E46 M3 and the M3 was better on fuel

But back on topic, i dont really care about MPG imo my car is the only hobbie i really enjoy so why not enjoy it to the full potential
