I bought it from Preston, Lancs, but it did come from Yorkshire. The last owner has had it for the last 8 years.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

which is stuck in lee's garage and would be the least suitable car for driving 1000 miles to germany and back

I own a 206 GTi and have done for nearly 3 years, dont agree with slow but I know it hardly sets the world alight, when you think how much the 206 weighs its still got enough power to get you in to trouble. Its as fast as my old phase 2 VTS but has a lot more creature comforts, cant believe how cheap they are now.

Yeah agree 22B, it won't be that slow.
What are 306 selling for these days? GTi-6? Obviously more than this which is silly really as the 206 is just as good.

I like the 206 GTI is to look at, but hate the driving posistion. The seat doesnt move back far enough

It certainly isn't slow! It is a very capable engine and takes well to tuning. Compared to a corsa Gsi it walks all over it performance wise.

It's sloooow when you get it on track! The engine does have potential though. We got ours up to 220bhp @ 6000rpm at the moment...switching to E85, bigger injectors and more revs soon so should hopefully see 250bhp.
