you can pick up a good M3 for less than £4k as i said my insurance was under £1k which i could justify, as i spent £1,400 on a 1.2 Nova at 17 
Running costs, if you get a good one, you will only be replacing wearing parts, (Tyres/pads etc)
i can get 32MPG the most my Astra turbo see was 27 
Its a shit load of car for the money if i must say, Gutted im having to sell mine, but i WILL be returning to the M3 screen asap

go for a mazda old style a 1.8 one somthing like a h reg get a lot of clean ones my mate had one with a good induction kit and exaust it was the 1.6 modle and kept up with 106 gtis and cars in that region no botha plus very good handling and easy to drift as they are very good balanced

ok i was look at these as well just for a change not drove one yet but drove a deisil one and the clutch and stearing just felt the same as a old shape one whats the 172 like n my m8 just got rid of his mazda for a bike he will regret it
