Considering most bike shops are doing quite well (and as we've had numerous enquiries from bike brands and distributors) that is pretty shite.
I was on shite pay when I worked at a bike shop. Was my hobby and only a Saturday job though

I'm on £5.90 as my first job, due my payrise soon too :-D.
Great thing is i have been asked to work in a different office due to lack of CAD resources. I get an hours overtime for travelling and petrol expenses @ 40p a mile. So thanks to this i earn an extra £30 a day. Not bad considering i'm there until end of February with plenty of extra overtime to do . My wage will almost double with what needs to be done this month

Think yourself lucky, I'm 21, been working since I left school and the only time I've had an hourly rate more than that was for about 2 1/2 months last year when I was on about £7 but that was for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week and I've been working without a wage since then.
So be happy with it or do something about it, other than moaning on here

TBF if anyone is 21 and working in McDonalds still there is something wrong
I presume you mean a 21 year old within your company as I get paid more than that and I'm 20?

But have you seen the tripe JJB Sports sells at high prices?
He works in a proper bike shop that sells proper bikes, not toy bikes.
