what about if you can't do 40 in first?

35 is ok, but it means your car is slower. need to raise rev limit to 9k for optimum sprints. bouncing the faders is important to clear unwanted gases in exhaust before new gear is selected. i have 6 years of experience, and my mate jimbo says mine sounds the bomb on the faders and gets the crowd looking.

are you having a laugh

what aload of fucking bollocks

My technique;

Get to Line
Staging lights on.
NO handbrake
clutch FULLY in
Hold revs c. 3.5-4k
As the christmas tree starts to flash down to green
feather the clutch, and off you go.

First weekend at York Dragway is easter weekend in April - Sunday 5th/Monday 6th.

Me and the missus are photographing a wedding on the Sunday but I'm definitely going on the Monday.

Why not come up? I'd offer you digs but our apartment is 1bedroom so that won't help you much. You can also camp at the dragstrip the night before for not much money!
