cheers mate the black bonnets gone now, didnt really like it, prefer it looking more standard,
yeh i went to the garage yesterday nyte but was bludy windy, ill try in a bit when i got out for ya.

right started cutting away the flimsy metal above the bulkhead to add some space to the engine bay and look at little tidyer.
the head is of the engine atm its just sitting on top as i have no where to put it, working in half of a garage is hard!
then made up a plate to cover up the hole from where the heater matrix was.
dont have access to a welder so will have to be a cut off from some plastic sheeting.

john you checked your insurance 1st as i cant see you being able to insure that tbh no offence mate well you probably can but i would not want the monthly payments on it

im not going to use it as a road car untill i can afford the insurance.
will just be trailoring it to santapod and tracks ect.
only 19 atm 20 in june so maybe wen im 21 next year should be able to afford the insurance.
i dont want to keep it insured as a gsi as i want it to be completely legal.

not sure if i can insure it as a kit car or something? classic car insurance is normally good with engine conversions but will need to be atleast 21.
what i could do is when ive decleared all the mods and engine change i could possible ask the dad if he will insure it for me and as im with quinn direct insuring my 309 i have that ''any car insurance with owners permission.''
so he could insure it and drive it and i could just ''borrow''it to get to santapod and back on random weekends.
that would make me legal to drive it and insured witch is good. 
plus my dad will have a rapid everyday car haha

most insurance companys have become wise to that though john and dont allow it till your 21-25 but if its already on your policy then bonus but dont forget it would only be 3rd party you would be insured on it

yeh 3rd party is ok,
wont be using it every day any way just random dry days and trips to the pod
