Its not a Corsa or an RX7 so I think he is quite safe on that front
My mate had one of these for his first car and it blew my 1.4 sport into the weeds at the time!
I reckon decent supension, 306 brakes and track the bugger

Oh yes, so much faster than more corsa, had a play with a VTS today, i lost
16v conversion, GTi6 brakes, no track as the nearest proper track is hundreds of miles away

Quickshift fitted, much better, but still quite a stiff gearchange, shall change the gearbox oil next, and if that doesnt solve it, new linkages.
Indicators didnt fit, bollocks.
Fitted some flat blade wipers too.
Off out now to put my mudflap back on again , and give it a polish. Also debadged the boot, but kept the XSI badge for now. Cant decide wether or not to get rid of it, will post pics up after is polished.

You LOST to a VTS? You need a 16v conversion laddie Anything under 140bhp would be puffed!

Dash out
Thats what stopped me was the wiring,

You dont need the dash out. Youll need to get the ecu unlocked, and the S1 requires a slim line front mounted fan to fit.

Brand new shaft ordered, should be back on the road soon.
Meanwhile, new filter arrived, will need some work getting it to fit as its for a VTR, but will be better than the K&N bolted straight onto the TB, heatsoak anyone?
