i believe it goes behind or very near to the bonnet catch lever and then you'll have some trim to go over it

abs ecu is in passenger side footwell. small silver thing.
it cant actually be many things as there arent many control units on a corsa in the first place. central locking is the best guess. will see if i have that in mine when i go for a smoke in a bit.
Cheers Mate

Actually looking at EPC the control in your pic looks more like the Alarm box than central locking.
Alarm box is 90450859

Think its maybe the Alarm Box which kind of makes sense.
Not sure Mate,Possibly as if it is the Alarm it has maybe Imobilised your Car?
But i dont know what Corsa's do when they are Imobilised?
Just connect it up and see what Happens,Its a Good Place to Start though as if it doesnt Work then you can Rule it out

I'm pretty sure it was bolted on the right behind the bonnet puller.

Are you sure somebody hasn't added some wiring and wrapped/tied the loom up and made the wires to the box a bit tighter/shorter so they won't go where they should?
