Cost for the year is :- £170
Cost for 6 months is :- £93.50
Yeah exactly what I mean.
Is it registered as a 2.0 tub with the DVLA? Do they just leave the tax as is?
I wanna put an engine that costs £150 to tax into a car that costs £125 to tax, which band will it fall in?

I just dont want them to assume it's a pre 2001 engine and smash it in the old £195 band...

Its registered as a tub yes but insurance things still bring it up as a 1.8 so i don't know how that works.
I have no idea tbh as its the first time i paid tax on it When i xe'd the B it didn't change iirc.
I have no idea about the tax bands on cars sorry

On second thoughts they don't sell that separatly
Might be worth taking that light off and crimping some female crimps onto them instead.

They dont sell the plug seperate. I asked for the plug and they said the only way to do it is to buy the entire loom then either have the loom fitted or lop the plug off.

Location is between two places, need to convince one of them to have a bunch of us over at the same time, otherwise it'll be the other place.
Both are near Witney in Oxfordshire and I'm planning for the end of next month

Well....I will see what the state of my engine is nearer the time, Don't really want to get a power graph less than my current one !
Need to try and find a green or k&n panel filter soon too, not sure what else to do to it

Remap
I've spoken to one company so far today, they said they need to know at least 3 weeks in advance, and they will charge a flat rate for the whole day, no matter how many people come. See page 2 of the thread linked above

Remap i have been quoted £300 custom, but worried about the effect on clutch, engine internals and the guarantee. Previous vts hdi's they have done gave back 260lb of torque and 130bhp....surely 260lb would start getting difficult to use in a fwd ?

I think I've decided just to go for a new car. Unless I win the lottery then I'll get something else and just throw money at the Ibiza for a track toy
