What bit is that? There should be two plugs on the Car -> ECU loom, a 6 pin grey one and the big "slidey" black one.. They are part of the same bit of loom. Nothing else is required..

If im correct that's the very one! Goes from ECU through the bulkhead and then onto the ECM!
Mine came with purely the engine loom
Wonder how my battery will connect??

There is a plug the same as that already in the corsa for the starting & charging system dont get them mixed up
The grey one in that pic is just for the power feed to the injectors plus the temp. gauge and oil pressure feeds.
Where are you getting all this ECM malarky from?

Save yourself the heart ache and let me do it for a few quids lol!
Like I said give me the whole original loom (back to the 9pin plug from the foot well as I need the conenctor and some of the wires to extend the vectra loom) and the new loom with the two plugs on the end..

How much does it cost for a 1.8 fella? or even the 2.0 vecta engine? or is that a no go?
What bhp do the 1.8's have too?

The 1.8XE1 has 115BHP and the Z18XE has 123BHP But is fly-by-wire so would be abit more work.
The 2.0 vectra engine is basically a redtop conversion (mount etc wise)

But they didn't do a redtop in the newest vectra did they? and surely for a 1.8 with 115bhp. The 1.6 with few mods would be better to get it to 150bhp, or is the 1.8 better to mod?

The 1.8 is a long stroke block and has much more torque than the 1.6

Sorry meant mounting etc are the same as a redtop conversion in general sorry.
And the 1.8 having more capacity and as DaveyLC mentioned being long stroked can produce much more torque which gives better pulling power
And the 1.8 doesn't have anything silly like an SAI and stuff and good head design
