That's frigging gorgeous. Is that gloss black that you've used for bumper tops and arches?

Nah it's actually Vauxhall Sapphire Black iirc (Paintcode 80L I think but don't hold me to it), it's suppose to be a pearlescent colour but its turned out more satin now due to doing it with rattle cans, looks pretty good though IMO

I used Black Sapphire on part of my boot lock surround, my mate's car is that colour too, it's really nice. Only slightly pearlescent but it does look good.
Btw, I'm the guy who was parked next to you at PVS Wanted to know who's it was next to me as I really liked your car mate.

Right havn't even looked on this in a while but thanks for the comments.
I finally have an actual update, since i've stopped working i've had some free time so I took out my A, B and C pillars and my roof lining and sprayed them all satin black
Pillars roof lining etc. all removed and in my makeshift spray shed
Head lining in first coat
Pillars in first coat of primer
Pillars in second coat of primer
First coat of satin black
Second coat of satin black
Third and final coat of satin black
A second layer of black on the head lining - still a bit patchy
All the extra's like sunroof control, sunroof surround and seatbelt sliders sprayed up
Everything in 3 or more coats ready to go back in the car
And finally some in car pictures - need to find some black sunvisors and grab handle or i'll just spray them eventually
Hope you like, it took me roughly a week to do. In between this I was constantly round a friends flushing his cooling system to find it basically scrap and then fitting an entire new cooling system on a 306 which was quite fun

Also after all this I gave the old girl a well deserved wash and took a few photos, couldn't find anywhere good though
Enjoy!
Hope you all like, next update will probably take another 3 months like last time

Cheers mate very true, i've been on and off with the car mostly as money goes up and down but now as I said with my free time I finally got off my arse and did something.
You gotta admit it's come a long way from when I met up with you at like 4.00am in Guildford for the convoy to PVS 2008.

I love it, it just seems to all blend together nicely, like where the A pillar meets the dash its just nice for it to all look the same.

I don't blame you, it was a very sorry state back then but now it's going in the right direction (I hope) Cheers for the comment mate.

Cheers mate, unfortunately the car failed on rust so was sold on to someone who do something with it.
I've always liked the black trim, never been a big fan of colour coded, just breaks it up a bit.
Really need to start a new thread for my new corsa, I'll probably do it when I have some money and actually do something with it

This was one of the first bits of spraying I'd ever done, good learning curve. Took me a week or so in total I think as I kept getting it wrong. The only major problem was I couldn't get it perfectly pearlescent (sp), it ended up somewhere between satin black and gloss black which I actually really liked.
Just give it a go mate, learn as you got, that's what I did and I was even more pleased because I had done it myself.

A few pictures of the rust the made me decide to sell up and move on.
And a couple of how it left possesion
Looking quite sorry for itself.
And now a couple of sneeky ones from the sellers for ad
Keep an eye out for the new project thread hopefully starting soon
