What do you work as?

and eel, less than 50 bar isn't really narrowing things down is it I'd be guessing it's something ridiculous though.

I've been looking for how much boost it runs since you asked and I can't find it anywhere.

Would imagine boost would be rather high as engine speed is so low.

Cheers for the effort lads.

As for price, I'm gonna go for about £7-10million. I can't even grasp the amount of machining that would go into it, let alone the machines that worked on it!

I'm no engine expert, far from it actually so this may be a noobish question, will that turbo just spool up like on a smaller turbo engine or would it be a very gradual thing, as Imagine the engine stays pretty constant on its journey, how would the turbo be acting?

I don't know the technical explanation but the engine only has about 5rpm rev range so i'd assume it's pretty constant.

The turbo will be on constant boost as engine load and RPM will be constant, I imagine boost would take a few minutes anyway.

I was shown some old pictures of an engine like that being made in the UK yesterday. Must have been in the 60's or something. Someone on here mentioned that the engine looks normal, just massive, the same goes with the tools they were using, they all looked like normal mills, lathes e.t.c.., just supersized!
