an 800 bhp cossie on the road will be about as safe as an r1 as well

When someone does 150+mph wheelie with 1 arm, i'll agree... Oh, wait...
What about a 180mph on 1 wheel???
Cars are fun, bikes are better, even if we look like power rangers. And pull up to a set of lights, the chicks will always prefer the Power Ranger, matching bike, tinted visor, over some chav in a suoped up Sierra. She'll also like the fact the biker has spent less on the toys , hence more to spend on her
End of....

Agreed.
Bikes are so much more fun and "personal". A car for convenience (work, taking girls out etc) and a bike for playing out

I know I'd have an 800bhp Cossie over an R1 any day of the week. Not that I'm a bike nut or anything, but I do like the R1s.
And tbh I think the girls would be more impressed with the fact that you've got somewhere for them to sit without their hair being blown about and their skirts flying up in the air.

Girls hate 'boy racer' cars. If you took one out in a loud, bouncey 800bhp 15 year old cosworth that rumbles, whooshes and chatters its tits off everywhere she would be embarrassed to be seen in it.
Girls like 'nice' cars like bmws, mercs, audis. Something thats understated but says you have some money and is comfortable to ride in.
IF i had the choice between an 800bhp sapphire cosworth or a ZX10 id have to go for the ZX10 as it would be more fun and all you do is put petrol in it and go. A cossie would be popping gearboxes and diffs, melting pistons etc all the time and it wouldnt be as much fun.
ZX10 for fun, 350bhp Escos for posing and an A4 Tdi S line that i can use daily please.

I like how everyone is posting videos of highly tuned cars against standard bikes.

i wonder how many vids of bikes beating cars there is
at the end of the day theres no way you could beat a standard r1 in a standard car appart from maybe the obvious £200000+ supercars and even then they wont have an easy time of it

Video.
My favourite car/bike/vehicle type racing video I'd say.
Rolling start makes quite a difference obviously.

Bikes not even trying through the gears
Car wins top end though, which takes some serious power on a herse shaped motor. Respect to the volvo

If you use a car as a fanny ferry then it has to be something sleek and stylish. Not a 20 year old ford with a dump valve.
The only place you will pull with an 800bhp cosworth is a a ford show or down the local maccies carpark.
If you think 'my sierra has 800bhp' is a good chat up line, you obviously havnt been laid for a while
On the road bikes are faster than cars, i dont car how much bhp you have because as soon as we get to any built up areas ill just fuck off and you wont see me again untill i pull over to wait for your traffic jammed ass! It will take a car with 900bhp per tonne to out accelerate a modern 1000cc sportsbike, not many production cars boast those specs at all.
