it could be a melted piston as well causing it to misfire.

Thanks ols.

It could be a piston ring. The engine runs, it's very quiet aswell. It coulb be a number of things. It's worth what I'm asking for, ols has highlighted why. If anyone is seriously interested they can come & hear the engine running.

cheers for the comment john .

It has low compression on cylinder 2 & when I come off throttle & coast, put my foot down i get bluey/white smoke. It could be the piston ring but I'm not a mechanic to diagnose the problem propperly.

could be hg mega funked.

could you put a bit of oil down the bore and do a comp test that way?

pretty sure there are a few ways to tell matey.

tbh if i had the £££ id snap it up as wouldnt cost me much to sort. just having that £££ at the moment

We done a wet & dry compression test phillip.

Still don't know what the problem is, it would be a good engine for someone in the know.
