When did he make himself perfectly clear he hates the English?
He stated he was supporting whoever played England at football in a World Cup, there's a huge difference. You'll find a high percentage of Scottish 18 or 19 year olds would have said exactly the same thing.

Well then? What exactly is your argument?
I used to support Scotland when they played.
Then my eyes were opened to just how much the Scottish hate us so I no longer GAF.
Northern Ireland FTW.

You support Scotland because we're shite though and you feel sorry for us, we hate you because you're good.

Ok, I'll give it another go at supporting you on the premise that you like England really.

I never said I don't like England
If Capello gets them playing well I'll support them same as I do any good footballing team. I like watching players like Stevie G and Rooney in full flow.

I backed him to win the tournament at the start and just laid it off this morning for a risk-free win however he gets on.
Funny thing is, (most) british people seem to complain we're crap at sports, yet whenever we get someone who is actually good, loads of people don't like him
Not saying you have to like someone just because they're British, but just strikes me as strange.
It's one of the worst British attitude traits to cheer on a triumphant loser e.g. Tim Henman. When there is a guy with a cocky and arrogant side, which is well warranted, they start to get tentative about him.
lewis hamiltons another good example of this...
won the world championship but no one seems to like him....

Hamilton probably has one of the biggest followings in this country that I have ever seen an individual sportsman have.

I watched murray getting interviewed a while ago (pat cash and sue barker in studio) and he was saying the stuff about him hating england is rubbish and what he said taken out of context. I don't care, he's the best tennis player our great nation ( ) has had for a long time and i'm supporting him all the way

Wasnt it on his official website in a blog type post written by himself?

Not sure, he didn't deny saying about supporting any team but england but he said he was just having a laugh and the media made a big massive deal about it. I don't care anyway, as above he's the best we've got so he gets my support

He said it as a joke as part of the banter on Soccer AM as they were giving him scottish football digs IIRC

Are you Scottish? I bet Murray doesn't want your support, the bloke is a clown. He made himself perfectly clear he doesn't like the English, therefore he is looked upon by my good self as a foreigner and as his dislike of the English is shown, I will show my dislike of him the twat.
No
I've never seen or heard Murray saying he does or doesn't like the English, although I don't really follow him very closely. And of all the Scottish people I do know (quite a few, as my parents and grandparents now live there but were born in Luton), non of them hate the english.
Only the SNP that don't as far as I'm aware.

So Murray is a badger because he said he supports every team that plays against England? He's just having some banter, no need to take it serious lads! He's the best tennis player in this country by a long shot. It's quite scary to think that if he wasn't around just now then we would have no one with enough quality to be in the top 150 players in the world!

he is the best tennis player in the country. That country being scotland. people going on about he is good. He has NEVER won a big tournament! he is playing a player ranked 70 today and he is seed 3. So he should beat him and IF he does people will think its great.

He has won 12 titles and won over $7.5m in prize money. Id say he is a good player, no, great.
