Camera's cost a fair amount, all the development is done in house and ussually as they are sold with the software, they have to make back the cost of the software development too.
For the quality of the cameras, they are dirt cheap. You could put one of the cobra's under water or drop it from the top of a lamp post and it'll still work. Very fast shutter speeds too.
