It depend on how you drive.

If you are heavy on the accelerator and drive 80+ on dual carriage ways it will drink petrol. I get about 40 to the gallon when not pushing it and about 34 when pushing it. That's a 1.2 16v

Ah it seems my choice of drugs to inhale last week affected how many miles I got away with.

I put £20 in the other day, I have done 75 miles and my tank is still sat on the 20 marking, meaning I have another 100-150 miles left.

Saying that I have to do 140 miles on sat to go pick up a lowering kit.

If i stick to 50mph on motorways, i'll get 450 out of a tank, if i try pullin 80mph, i'd get bout 200 tops!!

The BFO cone and 16"s aint helped. Seriously considered goin back to std airbox with K+N, and 14"s!! just to save money! shame they wont go over the brakes tho Plus, i'd sacrifice muel economy for looks.

Round town i'd get bout 30mpg.

Mine is terrible on petrol. Well actual it does depend on me drivin, ALOT. I've done London to Swansea and back (400 miles), on 3/4 of a tank easy! Inc. some urban, takin it easy. 55 on m-ways, low revs round town.

But then, i went to Cardiff and back (bout 300 miles), caining it there and back (80-90 on motorway), and i used over a tank doin it.

Conclusion: Very economical if u limit urself. However, push it 15mph more on motorway, and they r crap!! Thats y i want a 1.4 16v which means i can pull 60-70 on a motorway, but still get decent mpg.

U'd never believe, but my bro's 2.0 16v (with F20 box) nova is very fuel efficient. Motorway drivin, 65mph is just over 2k revs, so gets bout 40-50mpg!! But then, who could resist the power when drivin one of them! lol

Nah Kris mate, the other day i got a front puncture. I went to put my 14" SRi rim on it, and the caliper was in the way!! Same on both sides. I had to swap a rim from the back to do it!! Dunno y, coz astra GTEs came on 14"s.
