She just didnt mention you were a gambler last time I met her.

Then again I guess that isnt the sort of thing she speaks to her clients about.

Why would she mention to you that I gamble?

Thats what I meant in my second sentence, was silly of me to think she'd tell a client that her son gambles. TBH it put me off a bit her telling me she had a son.

The only time I gambled was on the puggies using money bumped from the 10p machines...also at galla bingo a few times but using free £10 vouchers. Don't like gambling with my own money.

I'm an occasional gambler, I went to Vegas last year in a gambling frenzy, go to casinos every now and then, but it's not a ritual nor is it an obsession.

It's not just good for casinos, it's a very nice place in general, plus if your a single lad and going with the boys there is plenty of hookers grabbing your arm on the strip.

I bet a lot on sports and do alright finacially from it. The latest I'm doing though is spread betting on the stock Market. Made over £320 in one week. I reckon with more money to play with I could make a grand a week easily.

Surely you're better investing in the companies you're betting on or is it not as simple as that?

Just passed £400

Spread Betting = High Risk, Fast / High Gain.

Investing in shares / stocks = lower risk, slower gains / less gains.

Like anything though, it's how you 'do it' that makes the difference, as I'm sure people like Dan on here would tell you - he doesn't take a 'wild punt' - and will have theories or stategies to make money from it.

p.s. the true skill with this is controlling greed and having the bottle to hold out till you get the result you want.
