Lost respect for Chambers for cheating but the man is huge in real life my sister trained with him a few times and shes got a pic with him, she looks like a twig next to the beast.

He says he can reach 9.40, and I don't doubt that for a second, the man is incredible. He was relaxing at the end of that race.

200m final on Tuesday, should be good too

Oh amazing was Bolt, the guy is seriously a fucking machine.

He will easily get into the 9.4's before the end of his career and I think that wont be touched for many many years to come.

He'll be untouchable for the next 4-6yrs unless some other machine comes onto the scene. Otherwise guys will come and go (who are also amazing sprinters but will fail to ever make the history books because of Bolt).

Why is it that the sprint events are dominated by black men?

Genuine question btw as it must have something to do with their genetics.

Really?

You'd imagine the second 100m would be the fastest as he is upto full speed by then and no troubles with starting, etc.

'd like some facts to back that up. if he can do that in the 200m then why is he slower in the 100m?

If Bolt just put some effort into the last 20-30 metres he'll beat 9.4 easy, he seems to slow down so much... not last night so much but he doesnt need to look at anything until he crosses the line

if he has sense (moneywise) he'll not break it again until the olympics

I thought it was he ran under 9 secs for the flying last 100m at the 150m he recently did in Manchester.

Edit: I was right. 8.72 to be exact http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/athletics/8039407.stmp

Something to do with their muscles. Its also why they dominate long distance events too.

They can't swim though

It's not in his best interests to blow the record out the water, when he looked left and right towards the end of the race he then started watching the clock as if to try and aim for a certain time

He's well within his rights to not smash it and go as fast as he can now, progressively get faster over time will make him look better he'll do 9.4's soon though which is incredible

No-one thought johnson's 200m world record would ever get beaten but bolt smashed that and will smash his own in that soon as well.

His technique makes the most of his massively long legs, he's something of a freak in that way, he's awesome to watch

Im sure they asked bolt.

His answer was, in Jamaica there is so much push and drive to be the best at running, is no other sport for them really so its all or nothing when it comes to athletes.
Have massive events with something like 40,000 people going to watch people from schools running in competitions on the track.
Big status there.

+ Genetics fast twitch fibers.

I think we should complain and go mad about how we don't have many white men doing this sport/event. They do it all the time in football 'not enough black managers' 'not enough asian kids' it's like STFU.

strange isn't it. there are other wierd things in sport that i can't explain too. i.e, the majority of ice hockey players are left handed even though lefties only make up about 10% of the population.
